As chemical engineer interns, students job is to apply their knowledge of phase change and thermal energy transfer to help save the lives of premature babies throughout the world. Students will design and test plans for an incubator for premature babies using the app/simulation, and consider what types of phase change materials will best work together to regulate body temperature for an extended period of time. Making recommendations for an incubator that is safe, effective, and affordable.
